I was born in Khayelitsha and grew up in the small township of Vrygrond. As the founder of Loxion Mobile Library, I believe every child deserves to have fun and enjoy their childhood years, regardless of their background. In a township like ours, with few resources or activities for kids, Loxion Mobile Library provides a fun and safe space for our kids.
Saskia Messow
Design & Consultancy
Born and bred in Berlin, Germany, Cape Town became my second home when I first arrived in 2018 and had the pleasure of working for an NGO in Vrygrond where I met Litha. Besides designing LML's assets and website, I am responsible for social impact research. As a Social Worker by training and a Childhood Studies and Children’s Rights graduate, working with LML is right up my alley!

I am originally from Khayelitsha, Cape Town, Western Cape. I’m the project manager of the Loxion Mobile Library and became part of this project because of its great initiative. I want to play a role in developing our disadvantaged communities and shaping young minds. I believe education doesn’t only brighten up your future but unlocks the chains in your minds. I want to be the change that I want to see.

I joined the Loxion Mobile Library organization because I am passionate about making a positive difference in underprivileged communities. Growing up, I witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by children and young people in accessing educational resources and opportunities. I believe that every child deserves access to quality education and the chance to reach their full potential.
Joining the Loxion Mobile Library allows me to combine my passion for education with my desire to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others. I am committed to working towards the organization's goal of transforming communities and giving children the opportunities they need to succeed.
